It applies only to FIFOZ Staging
(com.fifoz.app.staging). The public FIFOZ app will publish
its own health policy on fifoz.com.au.

FIFOZ is not a medical device
FIFOZ Staging is a general wellness app for FIFO workers. It may show advisory readiness cues from check-ins and, if you allow it, from a wearable. It does not diagnose, treat, predict, or monitor disease, and it does not replace clinical judgement.
What we collect
You enter in the app
- Daily check-ins: mood, fatigue, pain, sleep quality
- Exercise, hydration, and meal logs
Optional wearable reads (you must allow the platform permission)
On FIFOZ Staging, wearable import can be enabled. We only read the types below, and only after an in-app disclosure and your platform permission (Apple Health or Health Connect):
- Steps
- Sleep
- Resting heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Hydration (if the wearable supplies it)
- Body mass / weight
- Active energy
- Environmental audio exposure (Apple Watch only)
We do not collect health data from your employer, payroll provider, or advertisers. We do not write to Apple Health or Health Connect unless you start an action that requires it (FIFOZ is designed as read-only for wearables).
How we use health data
- Personal wellness tracking and advisory insights on your device
- Trends and streaks you choose to view
- Optional pre-fill (for example sleep hours or hydration) when you import from a wearable
Wearable data is not used for employer-facing reports, payroll, or advertising.
Storage and encryption
- Check-ins and related trackers are encrypted on your phone (AES-256-GCM) before upload to Firestore. Encryption keys stay on your device and are not sent to FIFOZ servers or your employer.
- Wearable snapshots may be cached on the device and, if synced, use the same model.
- Exercise tips and stretches downloaded from our backend are public wellness content, not your personal health record.
Who we share with
We do not sell, rent, or share your health data with:
- Your employer or site operator
- Payroll or HR systems connected to FIFOZ
- Advertising or analytics partners
Apple or Google see what you authorise through Health / Health Connect. SANO Health does not receive your personal health record through this staging app.
Health data is visible only to you on devices where you are signed in.
Permissions
You may decline wearable access. The rest of FIFOZ Staging (roster, pay, goals) still works. Revoking Apple Health or Health Connect stops new imports. Previously cached wearable data is removed when you delete your account.
Production note: the public FIFOZ app is intended to ship with wearable import off until a separate compliance sign-off. This staging policy describes what Staging actually does today.
Retention and deletion
Health data is kept while your staging account is active.
Delete account removes health check-ins, tracker history, and wearable cache from FIFOZ Staging. Steps: https://ryganlab.com.au/fifoz-account-deletion/.

FIFOZ Staging is intended for adult FIFO workers. We do not knowingly collect health data from children under 16.
